Tucked in the small hamlet of Hale, you will find the warm welcome of the Waggon at Hale Public House and Restaurant, a traditional country pub independently run by Emma Pearson and her team.

Earliest records show that the Waggon at Hale was in business in 1855, possibly earlier after being a coach house for many years. Inside you will find an open fire and a traditional style pub, plus a separate dining area serving fine home-cooked quality food using local produce. The Waggon at Hale also has a large beer garden where you can enjoy your food and drink, with a play area for the children to enjoy as well as our small animal farm which includes our micro pigs Hammy & Pudding AKA Doris, our goats Hugo, Custard & Cream plus our chickens, rabbits, ducks and pub dog Sage.

Whether you are looking for a fine dining experience or quality pub food you will be sure to find what you want at the Waggon at Hale.

Also let’s not forget our recognition and national award for 'Community Hero Award' in 2013 that acknowledged all the work we do with the local community plus we were runners up for 'Best Family Dining' in the 2013 Kent on Sunday Food & Drink Awards.

With so many good quality Kent Breweries it would be silly for us not to have these ales on our bar, so we are proud to offer at least one Kent Ale which can be enjoyed in our relaxed friendly atmosphere.
